Resumen: One of the main features of the dual active bridge (DAB) converter is the ability to control both magnitude and direction of the active power; however, its use is mainly focused on DC/DC applications. In AC single-phase applications, the DAB must deliver time-varying power while maintaining bidirectional power flow control features with adequate performance. In this paper a simple control strategy to achieve the link between an AC bus with unity power factor and supercapacitor-based storage system using a dual active bridge is presented. The power control scheme is based on only voltage measurements, and through the integration of the DAB and a synchronous rectifier the power flow between the supercapacitor and the AC bus is regulated. The effectiveness of the proposal is evaluated through system analysis and simulations.
