Resumen: This document presents a design strategy of a discrete functional observer, which is used to estimate those state variables that are not available for measurement, also this strategy helps to complete the state variables vector, with the measured and estimated variables for control purposes. The proposed approach is based on the use of the generalized dynamic observer (GDO) which has additional degrees of freedom, which gives it characteristics of robustness to unexpected variations. The performance of the proposed methodology is evaluated in a 2GDL robotic arm system.
