Resumen: In this work, a robust regulation problem based on thermodynamic principles is developed to control a heat exchanger. The system is regulated through a nonlinear output error dependent on the total entropy production within the heat exchanger; this error is a function of the output variable and its reference, but it can also be affected by parametric uncertainties and disturbances, so a geometric controller with a high-gain observer and an anti-windup scheme is proposed. Finally, the numerical simulation of the controller shows compliance with stability and robustness criteria.
